HANK RENEE TRULLI

Hank Trulli is a multidisciplinary artist whose work straddles the intersection of memory, identity, and the quietly surreal. His evolving visual and sonic palette reflects a deep affinity for the fringe, the horror of a digital frontier, and art therapy conjuring immersive experiences that challenge and blur reality and simulation with form.

Equally present in his work is the mythos of the modern cowboyβ€”not the rugged loner but a shapeshifter reclaiming space in windswept landscapes and post-capitalist drift. His Colorado roots show up in motifs of open sky, isolation, ghost cities, and reinvented and refurbished Americana, while the Chicago DIY and Arts scene pulses through his practice like a handmade zineβ€”bold, unpolished, and full of community grit.

Like the DIY scene; layering audio, visuals, and interactive media, Trulli builds worlds where glitch meets glamour, and vulnerability turns operatic. His work isn’t just about aestheticsβ€”it’s a charged exploration of queer future, resistance, and the ritual of being seen.

Modern music genres, diverse and often experimental, emerging from online communities curated by platforms are a key influence. Vaporwave, Hyperpop, Lofi Hip Hop, Cloud Rap, and Witch House. These genres often blend elements from various musical styles and thrive on internet culture, sharing and remixing sounds and ideas. Trulli leans into this tangled convergence of web influences from before and after they were born in 2005. Hank, drawn to the neon-soaked aesthetics of Seapunk, the raw energy of queer punk, and the heavy textures of metal to forge a sensory language that is lush, defiant, and otherworldly.

His projects have been showcased across professional, alternative, and digital spaces in the U.S., where he continues to seek dialogue across subcultures and generations.
